GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match to the Bethany Bison Friday at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium, 3-2.
The Tomcats won the first two sets (25-19, 25-23), but the Bison won the final three games (25-20, 25-21, 15-8) to earn the conference win.
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) led Thiel with 11 kills.
Raquel McDonald (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) tallied 10 kills and four blocks while
Maria Torres (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) notched 17 digs and nine kills.
Jordyn Liedike (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) contributed seven kills.
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) recorded a match-best 34 digs.
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa. /Grove City Area) had 17 assists and 11 digs.
Brooke Talbot (Calcutta, Ohio/Beaver Local) chipped in with 19 assists, six digs, four kills and three service aces.
Emma Marthins and Hannah Rogers led the Bison with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Alaina Torres recorded 54 assists and 15 digs.
The Tomcats (15-10, 6-1 PAC) will face the Geneva Golden Tornadoes (8-14, 2-4 PAC) on the road Tuesday. The PAC match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
