PITTSBURGH – The Thiel College women's volleyball team defeated the Chatham Cougars 3-1 Thursday to remain undefeated in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play (5-0).
After the teams split the first two sets (25-18, 21-25), the Tomcats won the third (25-21) and fourth (25-19) games to earn their fifth conference win of the season.
Raquel McDonald (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes), who owned a .382 attack percentage, led Thiel with 16 kills.
Maria Torres (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) recorded 22 digs and 10 kills.
Kylee Eaton (Parker, Pa./AC Valley) contributed eight kills while
Jordyn Liedike (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) notched six kills and three solo blocks.
Brooke Talbot (Calcutta, Ohio/Beaver Local) also had six kills to go along with 12 assists.
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa. /Grove City Area) led Thiel with 31 assists while also contributing 14 digs.
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) recorded a match-high 39 digs.
Amelia Bogovich paced Chatham with 16 kills. Alyssa Leskovac tallied 21 digs and 15 kills.
The Tomcats (14-8, 5-0 PAC), who have won nine of their last 11 matches, will face the Washington & Jefferson Presidents (10-7, 2-3 PAC) on the road Saturday. The PAC match is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
