BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – 
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) scored 22 points and corralled 15 rebounds Saturday to lead the Thiel College women's basketball team to an 82-79 Presidents' Athletic Conference win on the road over the Geneva Golden Tornadoes.
 
In a game that featured 10 lead changes and seven ties, Johnson gave the Tomcats a 2-point lead (72-70) with 2:09 remaining in regulation when she made a pair of free-throws. Johnson came up with a steal on Geneva's next possession and extended Thiel's lead to 74-70 after making a jumper with 1:41 to play. The Tomcats went on to lead by as many as seven points down the stretch.
 
Johnson made 6-of-17 shots from the floor and went 10-for-11 at the line. She tallied a game-high 15 rebounds and also contributed six assists and two steals.
 
Emily Grandy (Sharpsville, Pa./Sharpsville) and 
Taylor Susany (Struthers, Ohio/Struthers) came off the bench to score 18 and 17 points, respectively. Grandy also recorded seven rebounds. 
Sha'nia Stiers-Royal (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
 
Isabella Roth led the Golden Tornadoes with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Mia San Nicolas scored 18 points and registered 14 rebounds.
 
The Tomcats (4-6, 2-2 PAC) will travel Monday to face the Washington & Jefferson Presidents (11-3, 8-0 PAC). The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
