WARREN, Ohio – The Thiel College men's golf team lost, 5.5 to 1.5, in match play against the Westminster Titans Tuesday afternoon at Avalon Lakes.

For the Tomcats, Tyler Zere (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) earned a point for the Tomcats, one up, against Cal Cummins for the Titans. Charlie Lichtenwalter (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) and Gavin Batdorff were even, giving each school half a point. 

Luke Sadowski (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) was defeated by Michael Bell, three & two. Logan Pistorius (Karns City, Pa./Karns City Area) also fell three & two against Jacob Stuckert. Titans' Sam Napper defeated the Tomcats' Zach Lyons (Franklin, Pa./Franklin), five & four. Charlie Gonzalez and Marc Knox (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) fell, four & two and one up, in their matchups against John Papa and Logan Marnik, respectively. 

The Tomcats' next event will the Allegheny Invitational Sunday and Monday at the Country Club of Meadville.
