GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated, 5-0, in a non-conference match against the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats on Wednesday evening.
The Bobcats struck early, with two goals in the first seven minutes. The Bobcats would tack on three more goals before halftime. Both teams were scoreless in the second half as the Bobcats would hold on to win 5-0.
For the Tomcats, Kelly Clark (New Castle, Pa./Mohawk) and Hannah Strott (Mogadore, Ohio/Field) recorded shots, with Strott recording a shot on goal. Goaltender Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) tallied seven saves.
For the Bobcats, Tiffany Michalek scored two goals. Becca Kubler, Ashley Lucas, and Emily Bonelli each recorded a goal as well.
The Tomcats will look to bounce back when they take on Pitt-Bradford on the road next Wednesday, September 8. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
