SHARON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's golf team lost a match play competition to the Westminster Titans Wednesday at Avalon at Buhl, 5-0.
 
Freshman Julie Peace (Champion, Ohio/Champion) was narrowly defeated at No. 4 by Morgan Byers (2&1). Emily Marcavish (Youngstown, Ohio/Warren JFK) lost at No. 2 to Erica Hoover (4&3).
 
At No. 1, Hayley Phillips (Lisbon, Ohio/Beaver Local) lost to Kasey Clifford (6&5). Kylie Gardner (Warren, Ohio/Champion) lost to Sierra Richard at No. 3 (6&5) while McKenzie Morrison (Gnadenhutten, Ohio/Indian Valley) lost at No. 5 to Olivia Ledbetter (7&6).
 
The Tomcats will compete in the Grove City Invitational on Saturday. The invitational, which will take place at the Grove City Country Club, is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
