Tomcats fall to Bearcats in season finale

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team finished its 2020-21 season Thursday with a 2-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to the Saint Vincent Bearcats at Alumni Stadium.
 
Evan Young (Bryans Road, Md./Henry E. Lackey) gave the Tomcats the lead at the 23:40 mark on an unassisted goal. Young took six shots in the game, two of which were on goal.
 
Brandon Lowe tied up the game for the Bearcats with a little more than one minute remaining in the first half when he scored on a penalty kick.
 
Ryan O'Leary notched the game-winning goal for Saint Vincent in the 68th minute on a pass from Cory Northrup.
 
Devin Weisbarth (Akron, Ohio/Norton) made six saves for Thiel. Shane Piper made five saves for Saint Vincent.
