WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on the road Wednesday to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents, 3-1.
The Presidents won 25-20 in the first two sets. Thiel won 25-18 in the third set before falling 25-23 in the fourth set.
Kylee Eaton (Parker, Pa./AC Valley) led Thiel with 14 digs, 10 kills and five blocks.
Sarah Orr (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area) registered a team-best 25 digs while
Natalie Zucco (Cleveland, Ohio/North Royalton) recorded seven kills.
Abby Triskett (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) tallied 21 assists and 19 digs while
Hailley Kendall (Saint Paris, Ohio/Graham) notched 15 digs and three kills.
Also for Thiel,
Jordyn Liedike (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) recorded five blocks and four kills.
Grace Williams (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) tallied four blocks, three kills and a pair of digs.
Lizzie Carmichael led the Presidents with 12 kills while Katie Conner recorded a match-best 28 digs. Alexis Tomassini led all players with 33 assists while also contributing 15 digs. Claire Saureland logged 16 digs and eight kills.
The Tomcats will close out the regular season on Wednesday, April 7 when they host the Bethany Bison at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC game is set to begin at 6 p.m.
