BETHANY, W.Va. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Thursday to the Bethany Bison, 72-52.
The Tomcats led 21-20 after one quarter, but the Bison went on to hold a 42-30 lead at halftime and never trailed in the second half.
Rachel Breckenridge (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire),
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) and
Nielah Jones (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) paced the Tomcats with 11 points apiece.
Indea Phillips (Warren, Ohio/Warren G. Harding) led the Tomcats with 10 rebounds.
Makenzee Mason scored a game-high 16 points for the Bison while Kelsie Meintel notched a double-double with 11 points and a game-best 15 rebounds.
The Tomcats will face the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets on the road Saturday. The PAC game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
