STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Franciscan Lady Barons Tuesday on the road, 5-1.
Bella Rubino scored the first goal of the game for Franciscan 17:49 into the first half. Thirty-four seconds later, freshman midfielder
Reilly Lutz (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) tied up the contest on her first goal with the Tomcats.
Franciscan went on to score four unanswered goals to earn the win. Juliana Rubino and Claire Dawyot led the Lady Barons with two goals apiece.
Bethany Bonnar (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) made 11 saves for the Tomcats. Marita Ostrich made three stops for the Lady Barons.
The Tomcats will host the Bethany Bison at Alumni Stadium on Wednesday, April 7. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
