GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team lost an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) match to the Hiram Terriers Sunday at Beeghly Gymnasium, 3-0.
The Terriers won by set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-23.
Zac Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) led the Tomcats with seven kills and five digs while
Jacob Smeltzer (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) recorded five kills and four digs.
Jonathan Burkley (Waterford, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) led Thiel with seven digs and also contributed three kills.
Nick Koorsen (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area) handed out 17 assists and also notched a pair of digs.
Kilvio Montero and Tom Supan led the Terriers with 14 and 12 kills, respectively. Andrew Diaz tallied 21 assists.
The Tomcats will conclude their season Wednesday when they face the Medaille Mavericks on the road. The AMCC match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
