NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's golf team finished second Saturday at the Westminster Spring Invitational, which took place at the New Castle Country Club.
Hayley Phillips (Lisbon, Ohio/Beaver Local) led the Tomcats with a score of 88, which was good enough to tie for fifth overall.
Kylie Gardner (Warren, Ohio/Champion) placed 10
th after carding a 96 while
Rebekah Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Northwest Collegiate Academy) finished 11
th with a score of 100.
Also for the Tomcats,
Emily Marcavish (Youngstown, Ohio/Warren JFK) tied for 12
th (103) while
Macy Siefert (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) tied for 24
th (125).
Westminster won the team title with a score of 327. Thiel was second with a score of 387.
The Tomcats will compete in the Grove City Invitational, which will take place at the Grove City Country Club, on Saturday, April 10.
