PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost on the road Tuesday 73-31 to the Chatham Cougars in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener for both teams.
Rachel Breckenridge (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) paced the Tomcats with a game-best 16 points. She made 4-of-6 three-point attempts and went 4-for-4 at the free-throw line.
Sha'nia Stiers-Royal (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) led Thiel with six rebounds while
Lexy Wagner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) tallied three assists.
Julianna Skowron led the Cougars with 13 points and six rebounds. Keegan McConahy and Brittani Smith scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Tomcats will participate in the NYU Tip-Off Classic this weekend. Thiel will play tournament-host NYU Saturday at 5 p.m. and Bridgewater on Sunday at 1 p.m.
