GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated, 2-0, by the Westminster Titans on Saturday.
The game stayed scoreless for the first 52 minutes until Westminster netted their first goal. The Titans added another goal at the 72:40 mark to extend their lead to 2-0, which would hold as the final score.
For the Tomcats,
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) tallied seven saves in just over 62 minutes.
Bethany Bonnar (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) notched two saves in the remainder of the game (just under 28 minutes). Both goalies allowed one goal.
Ashley McNabb and Jocelyn Gillette scored for the Titans. Ashley Frank assisted both goals and Brooke Horvath also recorded an assist. Camille Holzschuh recorded a shutout in net for the Titans.
The Tomcats will look to bounce back when they take on the Franciscan Barons at Alumni Stadium Wednesday at 7 p.m.
