GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated, 3-1, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on Tuesday.
The first half went without a goal, with the score tied at 0-0. The Wolverines were on the board first with a goal just under 59 minutes into the match. The Wolverines added two more goals to the lead. The Tomcats scored as time winded down, but it was not enough as the Wolverines held on to win 3-1.
Loren Swords (Lisbon, Ohio/United) scored for the Tomcats for her third goal of the season. Goalkeeper
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) tallied a season-high nine saves.
The Wolverines had goals from Tirzah Lloyd, Gianna D'Amato, and Hailey Weinert. Courtney Lisman recorded three saves in net.
The Tomcats will look to bounce back with another home PAC match this Saturday at 1 p.m. against the Westminster Titans.
