WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated, 4-1, by the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on Saturday.
Four of the fives goals scored the contest was scored in less than a nine-minute span between 18:42 mark and the 27:25 mark, three by the Yellow Jackets and one by the Tomcats. Waynesburg added another goal out of halftime to win 4-1.
For the Tomcats,
Hannah Strott (Mogadore, Ohio/Field) scored the lone goal and recorded two shots on goal.
Katlyn Phillips (Hanoverton, Ohio/United) and
Skylar Garlick (Fort Loudon, Pa./James Buchanan) notched a shot on goal apiece. Goalkeeper
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) recorded five saves in the contest.
For the Yellow Jackets, Madey Hill scored twice and Leesha Wagner and Kate James each recorded a goal. Demaree Livingston assisted Hill on a goal. Goalkeepers Kennedy Schuck and Autumn Blair combined for three saves and one goal allowed.
The Tomcats will conclude their season with senior night at Alumni Stadium against the Chatham Cougars on Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
