GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated, 2-0, by the Chatham Cougars in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on Wednesday.
Before the game, the seniors on the team were recognized for their time with the team. The two seniors recognized were
Emily Harriman (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) and
Kate Sollers (Suffield, Ohio/Field).
Chatham scored early with a goal less than seven minutes in, at the 6:41 mark. About 50 minutes later, the Cougars added an insurance goal and went on to win 2-0.
For the Tomcats, Harriman recorded a shot on goal. Sollers and
Kaleigh Atkins (Parma, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) also registered a shot apiece. Goaltender
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) tallied a career-high 12 saves and allowed just two goals.
For the Cougars, Emily Harvey scored both goals. Greta Mort and Maggie Toomey assisted Harvey on the goals. Goalkeeper Tyler Colburn did not allow a goal on the evening.
The Tomcats concluded the season 4-11-1 (1-8-0 PAC).
