Box Score PITTSBURGH – The Thiel College women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to the La Roche Redhawks on the road Tuesday, 3-1.
 
The Tomcats lost the first set 25-20 but earned a 25-17 win in the second stanza. The Redhawks went on to win the third set 25-22 and the fourth set 25-20.
 
Kylee Eaton (Parker, Pa./AC Valley) led Thiel with 13 kills while Cristiana Tomassetti (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) chipped in with nine kills. Courtney Grubbs (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) led the Tomcats with 27 assists while also contributing 16 digs. Taylor Williams (Tuscarawas, Ohio/Indian Valley) and Alexis Orton (North East, Pa./North East) notched 16 and 13 digs, respectively.
 
The Tomcats will be back in action Friday and Saturday when they compete in the Case Western Reserve University Invitational.
