GREENVILLE, Pa. – The 15
th-ranked Washington & Jefferson Presidents earned a 59-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over the Thiel Tomcats Saturday at Alumni Stadium.
The Presidents led 35-0 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back in earning their first conference win of the season.
Andrew Wolf scored W&J's first two touchdowns of the game on receptions of 17 and 26 yards, respectively. Cameron O'Brien also scored two first-quarter touchdowns on four- and 10-yard passes, respectively.
Jordan West scored the Presidents' last touchdown in the first quarter on a two-yard run. West also scored on a seven-yard run in the second quarter.
Jacob Adams completed 15-of-19 passes for 195 yards. Adams threw four touchdown passes on the day. Wolf caught six passes for 89 yards. EJ Thompson led the Presidents on the ground with 58 yards on 12 carries.
Alex Bellinotti led W&J with six tackles, one of which was behind the line of scrimmage. Max Garda made four tackles and intercepted two passes.
Marko Bakovic (Stockholm, N.J./Wallkill Valley) completed seven passes for Thiel for 91 yards.
Emmanuel Ramsey (Maple Heights, Ohio/Maple Heights) ran for 28 yards on 10 carries.
Trou Johnson (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) led Thiel with 11 tackles.
Matt Crawford (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) made nine tackles. Crawford recorded two tackles for a loss and one sack.
The Tomcats will travel to Beaver Falls, Pa., next Saturday to take on the Geneva Golden Tornadoes. The PAC game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
