BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Thiel College men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 non-conference road game to the Medaille Mavericks on Wednesday.

Medaille got on the board early scoring all four goals in the first eight minutes of the game. The Maverick defense held tough for the rest of the game limiting the Tomcats to just five shots on the night.

Bradley Novak (Wellington, Ohio/Keystone) scored Thiel's lone goal in the loss. Defensively, Devin Weisbarth (Akron, Ohio/Norton) and Oaklund Smith (Grove City, Ohio/Grove City) combined for eight saves as they shared time in net.

The Tomcats conclude their three-game away stand on Friday, Sept. 13 when they play the La Roche Redhawks. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
