LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest on the road Tuesday to the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 21-9.
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) paced the Tomcats with four goals.
Lexi Callander (Knox, Pa./Keystone) and
Samantha Kurchena (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) each scored two goals.
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley), who scored one goal, recorded eight draw controls and picked up five ground balls.
Joey Smith led the Bearcats with nine points (7G, 2A) while Courtney Kloos tallied six points (5G, 1A).
Emily Ramous (Bridgeville, Pa./Chartiers Valley) made 18 saves in the loss for the Tomcats. Maria Franey made six saves for Saint Vincent.
The Tomcats (8-7, 3-3 PAC) will face the Washington & Jefferson Presidents (6-7, 4-1 PAC) on the road Saturday. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at noon.
