ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team opened the Golden Flyer Invitational Friday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to Nazareth College.
The Tomcats fell 25-16, 25-17, 25-14 to drop the nonconference match in straight sets. Leaders for the Tomcats included
Mitch Patterson (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) with a team-high 10 kills and
Stephen Borgen (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area), who collected a team-high 16 assists.
With the loss, Thiel drops to 0-4 on the young season.
The Tomcats are back in action tomorrow as they face Wells College at 1:00 p.m. and St. John Fisher College at 3:00 p.m. to wrap up the Golden Flyer Invitational.
