WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost its second game of the McDaniel Tipoff Tournament to Penn State-Berks on Saturday, 70-59.
Colleen Trainer (Latrobe, Pa./Mount Pleasant) led the Tomcats with a career-high 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. She added three rebounds, a pair of assists and steals and one block. Courtney Harriman (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) finished the game with 14 points, including a perfect 2-of-2 from behind the three-point line.
Julia Bookwalter led the Nittany Lions with 13 points.
The Tomcats will be back in action on Tuesday when they face the Hiram Terriers on the road in a non-conference contest. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
