WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost to the Juniata Eagles 80-56 in its first game of the McDaniel Tip-Off Tournament Friday night.

Rachel Breckenridge (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) paced Thiel's with 15 points. She also handed out three assists and grabbed two rebounds in the loss. Indea Phillips (Warren, Ohio/Warren G. Harding ) scored 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field.

The Eagles were led by Gracie Stauffer, who scored 20 points.

Thiel will face Penn State Berks during the second day of competition in the McDaniel Tip-Off Tournament. The game is set to start at 4:30 p.m.
