GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College football team concluded the 2019 season Saturday with a 63-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to the Grove City Wolverines at Alumni Stadium.
With the win, the Wolverines, who went 8-2 on the season, retained possession of the Mercer County Cup for the third straight year.
Wesley Schools gave Grove City an early 14-0 lead after scoring touchdowns on runs of 12- and seven-yards. Cody Gustafson made it 21-0 after he caught a 24-yard pass from Josh Ehst, and Jacob Ross scored on a 40-yard interception return on Thiel's ensuing drive.
Schools recorded his third rushing touchdown of the game on a two-yard run early in the second quarter. Ehst threw his second touchdown pass of the game, a 59-yarder to Cameron Drake, with 10:52 left in the second quarter. Gustafson closed out scoring in the first half with 2:21 left before halftime on a 10-yard catch from Ehst.

Crawford, who was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 4 First Team on Thursday for the third time in his career, led Thiel's defense with a game-best 17 tackles, which tied him for the fifth most in program single-game history.
A 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team selection and two-time All-PAC Honorable Mention selection, Crawford concluded his career with 254 tackles, the eighth most in program history.
Bekele led the Tomcats with three catches for 20 yards.
Ehst completed 16-of-22 passes for 294 yards. He threw three touchdown passes. Schools and Trusky ran for 75 yards apiece. Schools scored three touchdowns. Gustafson led Grove City with eight catches, including a pair of touchdown receptions, for 166 yards. Drake caught six passes for 114 yards with one score.
Luke Salerno led the Wolverines with 10 tackles, five of which were behind the line of scrimmage.
