GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team honored the senior members before a Presidents' Athletic Conference match with the Westminster Titans on Friday.
Thiel and Westminster would battle for possession for most of the first half until Titans' forward Skylar Bryant broke the scoreless tie in the 33rd minute. Westminster would take the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
Westminster added three goals of insurance in the second half to seal the road win, Olivia Droese, Camille Holzschuh and Kendra Trimbach all saw time in net to preserve the shut out.
Bethany Bonnar (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) tallied 12 saves during her time in net. Emily Harriman (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) and Nicole Pereksta (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) recorded shots on goal in the loss.
The Tomcats will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Penn State Beaver. The non-conference contest is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m.
