PITTSBURGH –
Terrance Holloway (Farrell, Pa./Farrell) scored 26 points to lead the Thiel College men's basketball team to a 69-61 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win Saturday on the road over the Chatham Cougars.
Thiel never trailed after the 16:59 mark in the first half and led by as many as 16 points with 3:11 remaining before halftime.
Holloway led the Tomcats with a game-high 26 points. He made 9-of-14 shots from the floor, including 3-of-4 from beyond the 3-point line. He also made 5-of-7 from the line while registering five rebounds and a pair of assists.
Thiel's
Nyric Gosley (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) recorded a double-double with 14 points and a game-best 10 rebounds to go along with four assists.
Daquan Simmons (Capitol Heights, Md./Central) contributed 10 points for the Tomcats.
Will Sandherr led the Cougars with 21 points and nine rebounds. Anthony Bomar scored 15 points while also recording seven rebounds and seven assists. Marc Wells scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds.
The Tomcats will face the Grove City Wolverines on the road Wednesday. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
