WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College football team dropped their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener to Washington and Jefferson College on Saturday.
The Tomcats fell 55-0 to the fifteenth-ranked Presidents. W&J ran out to a 21 point lead in the first quarter and went into the half leading 34-0. The Presidents would score 21 points in the second half and shut out the Tomcat offense.
Defensively,
Grant Milne (Portville, N.Y./Portville Central),
Dalton DuBrosky (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), and
Dusty Maines (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) all collected double-digit tackles on the day.
Quarterback
Marko Bakovic (Stockholm, N.J./Wallkill Valley) completed 13 passes on 30 attempts for 144 yards.
Keyandre Hood (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) collected a team-high four receptions for 33 yards.
With the loss, Thiel falls to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the PAC.
Thiel returns to Alumni Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 15 for a PAC matchup against Geneva College, kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
