GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a non-conference game Thursday on the road to the Pitt Greensburg Bobcats, 2-0.
Pitt Greensburg took the lead in the 44
th minute when Tiffany Michalek scored from the box on a pass from Alexa Fetterman. The Bobcats extended their lead to 2-0 early in the second half on a goal by Allie Grimm. Bri Burgunder assisted.
Shay Tresler (Fairview, Pa./Fairview) made five saves for the Tomcats in a little under 72 minutes.
Chimamaka Palmer (Northfield, Ohio/Mayfield) also denied two shots for Thiel.
Kaity Watson made one save to earn the shutout win for the Bobcats.
The Tomcats will play their home opener Saturday against the Mount Aloysius Mounties. The non-conference game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
