GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a non-conference game to the La Roche Redhawks Friday night at Alumni Stadium, 2-0.
 
Firas Abduljawad put the Redhawks up in the 27^th minute when he scored on his own rebound from inside the box.
 
La Roche doubled its lead early in the second half when Joaquin Vicent Franc scored on a pass from Abduljawad.
 
Christopher Felger (New Castle, Pa./Mohawk) led the Tomcats with three shots.
 
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made four saves for Thiel while Austin Gorman made five saves for La Roche.
 
The Tomcats will be back in action Sunday when they host the Muskingum Fighting Muskies at Alumni Stadium. The non-conference is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
