CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team picked up a nonconference win over Wilson College on Friday night in straight sets (3-0).
The Tomcats took the first set 25-19 before taking a tightly contested second set 27-25 to make it 2-0 in favor of Thiel. The third set was close but the Tomcats clinched the match taking the final set 25-23.
Leaders for the Tomcats included
Ryan Sumarsono (Victor, N.Y./Victor) with a match-high 13 digs and
Jacob Burkley (Waterford, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) who collected a game-high six blocks.
With the win, Thiel improves to 8-9 on the year.
Thiel will be back in action tomorrow as they will face the sixth-ranked Kean University Cougars in Union, N.J. tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
