NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team defeated the Muskingum Fighting Muskies on the road Saturday, 13-3.
Tied 1-1 at the end of the first quarter, the Tomcats went on to outscore the Fighting Muskies 11-2 over the next 30 minutes to earn the non-conference win.
Kyle Reib (Erie, Pa./McDowell) led the Tomcats with four goals.
Jeffrey Karnoff (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) (1G, 3A) and
JJ Raab (Butler, Pa./Butler) (3G, 1A) also contributed four points apiece.
Brennen O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) chipped in with three points (1G, 2A).

Jack Fontana (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted) won 14-of-17 faceoffs and led the team with eight ground balls.
Desmond Stuart (Roanoke, Va./Salem) picked up seven ground balls while
Murphy Wood (Austin, Texas/LC Anderson) caused five turnovers.
Ryan Stacey paced Muskingum with two goals.
Cole O'Connor (Midlothian, Va./James River) made nine saves and earned the win for the Tomcats. Phillip Dappen made 26 saves for the Fighting Muskies.
The Tomcats will open Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) play Saturday when they host the Transylvania Pioneers at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
