BETHANY, W.Va. – The Thiel College women's basketball team suffered a 74-57 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss on the road Saturday to the Bethany Bison.
Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) led the Tomcats with 18 points and six rebounds. She also contributed three steals and a pair of assists. With her 18 points Saturday, Vormelker moved into 12
th on Thiel's career points list (1,051), surpassing Nicole Valentino (2003-07).
Alivia Sidley (Thompson, Ohio/Ledgemont) scored 13 points for the Tomcats while
Courtney Harriman (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) scored 11 points and corralled five rebounds.
Bethany's Kelsea Daugherty led all players with 28 points and 16 rebounds. Ashley Duthie chipped in with 15 points and six rebounds while Kelsi Settle handed out eight assists.
The Tomcats will return to action Wednesday when they take on the W&J Presidents on the road. The PAC game is slated to begin at 6 p.m.
