WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Wednesday to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents, 95-48.
Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) paced the Tomcats with 24 points and seven rebounds. With her 24 points Vormelker moved into 11
th on Thiel's career points list (1,075), surpassing Amanda Swanson who amassed 1,059 career points.
Taylor Duchon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) also contributed eight points for the Tomcats.
Alie Seto scored a game-high 26 points for the Presidents while securing seven rebounds. Maria Lawhorne scored 17 points and corralled eight rebounds. Also, Mya Gordon scored 12 points and Lauren Gilbert scored 10 points.
The Tomcats will host the Saint Vincent Bearcats Saturday at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
