GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents Wednesday at Beeghly Gymnasium, 80-46.
Thiel junior guard
Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) scored a game-best 22 points to pace the Tomcats while securing 10 rebounds to record her sixth double-double of the season. Vormelker also contributed four steals and a pair of assists.
Also for Thiel,
Alivia Sidley (Thompson, Ohio/Ledgemont) scored 11 points and recorded six rebounds.
Danielle Parker recorded a double-double for the Presidents with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Gilbert scored 19 points while Maria Lawhorne scored 14 points and corralled seven rebounds. Also for W&J, Amirah Moore scored 10 points and Alie Seto came up with nine rebounds.
The Tomcats will be back in action Saturday when they host the Bethany Bison at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
