GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team was defeated in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on the road Wednesday by the Grove City Wolverines, 68-63.
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) led the Tomcats with a game-best 23 points.
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) scored 13 points and led Thiel with nine rebounds.
Daquan Simmons (Capitol Heights, Md./Central) and
Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) also chipped in with nine and eight points, respectively.
Cory Huff recorded a double-double for the Wolverines with 15 rebounds and 14 points. James Wells led Grove City with 17 points and also pulled down eight rebounds.
The Tomcats will face the Westminster Titans Saturday on the road. The PAC game is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
