Vormelker, Nagy pace Tomcats against Bearcats

LATROBE, Pa. - The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Wednesday on the road to the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 78-51.

Thiel junior guard Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) recorded game-bests with 19 points and 10 rebounds to record her seventh double-double of the season. Vormelker also contributed a pair of blocks and a pair of steals. Sarah Nagy (Hadley, Pa./Commodore Perry) chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.

Jenna Lafko led Saint Vincent with 16 points while Taylor Boring scored 15 points. Bri Van Volkenburg led the Bearcats with seven rebounds.

The Tomcats will be back in action Saturday when they host the Chatham Cougars at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
