LATROBE, Pa. - The Thiel College men's basketball team suffered a 70-59 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss on the road Wednesday to the Saint Vincent Bearcats.
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) led the Tomcats with 15 points. Freshman forward Tyrese Robinson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) scored 11 points and led Thiel with nine rebounds and four blocks. Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) and Alonzo Brown (Largo, Fla./Pinellas Park) combined for 15 rebounds while Daquan Simmons (Capitol Heights, Md./Central) scored eight points.
Saint Vincent's Tom Kromka scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to notch a double-double. Matt D'Amico contributed 17 points while Austin Dedert recorded eight rebounds.
The Tomcats will host the Chatham Cougars Saturday at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
