GREENVILLE, Pa. – Nicole Pereksta (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) scored 1:59 into overtime Wednesday to lift the Thiel College women's soccer team to a 1-0 non-conference win over the Hilbert Hawks at Alumni Stadium.
 
Pereksta's game-winner, her first collegiate goal, came from the left win on a lead pass from Clara Kidmark (Moelnlycke, Sweden/Hulebaeck) and ended with a high shot to the near side of the cage.

Marissa Ramirez (Amherst, Ohio/Amherst Steele) led the Tomcats with three shots on goal while Maddie Sollers (Mogadore, Ohio/Field) notched a pair of shots on goal.
 
Chimamaka Palmer (Northfield, Ohio/Mayfield) made two saves for Thiel while Jenna Castricone denied six shots for Hilbert.
 
The Tomcats (2-3) will return to action Sunday when they take on the Mount Aloysius Mounties on the road. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
