GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 on the season Saturday with a 17-6 non-conference victory over the Houghton Highlanders at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
Paul Chapman staked the Highlanders to an early lead roughly three minutes into the contest, but the Tomcats went on to score 10 straight goals and never looked back in earning their third win of the season
Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) led the Tomcats with six points (3G, 3A) Saturday.
Jared Saffer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) contributed five points (2G, 3A) while
Brennen O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) tallied four points (3G, 1A).
Kyle Reib (Erie, Pa./McDowell) also notched a hat trick with three goals while
Jack Fontana (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted) won 17-of-23 faceoffs.

Desmond Stuart (Roanoke, Va./Salem) scooped up eight ground balls and caused five turnovers while
Murphy Wood (Austin, Texas/LC Anderson) notched five ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Paul Chapman paced the Highlanders with four goals.
Charles Wistner (Buffalo, N.Y./Orchard Park) made two saves in the first half to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Cole O'Connor (Midlothian, Va./James River) made four saves for the Tomcats in the second half. Jorge Medina made 22 stops for the Highlanders.
The Tomcats (3-0) will return to action Tuesday when they host the Muskingum Fighting Muskies at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
