GREENVILLE, Pa. –
Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) scored 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds Wednesday to lead the Thiel Tomcats to a 90-74 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over the Washington & Jefferson Presidents at Beeghly Gymnasium.
The Tomcats trailed the Presidents by a point (39-38) at halftime but went on to lead by as many as 18 points late in the second half.
In addition to Lumbus, four other Tomcats scored more than 10 points in the league win, including
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen),
Alonzo Brown (Largo, Fla./Pinellas Park) and
Clandell Cetoute (Wellington, Fla./Wellington), who each netted 13 points. Cetoute also tallied seven boards and swatted a pair of shots.
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) also scored 11 points to go along with three assists and a pair of blocks.
Brian Graytok scored a game-best 21 points for the Presidents while notching six rebounds and six assists. Sean Stinelli scored 18 points and tallied four assists.
The Tomcats will face the Saint Vincent Bearcats on the road Saturday. The PAC contest is set to begin at 6 p.m.
