GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost a non-conference contest to the Penn State Behrend Lions Monday at Beeghly Gymnasium, 57-56. It was Thiel's first loss of the season.

Alex Choloh (Baltimore, Md./New Town) drained a 3-pointer with four seconds remaining in the first half to cut Behrend's lead down to 29-26 at the break.

Daquan Simmons (Capitol Heights, Md./Central) swished a 3-pointer, but only one second remained in regulation and the Lions escaped with the non-conference win.
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) led the Tomcats with 16 points while recording two assists and two steals.
Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) scored 11 points and led the Tomcats with eight rebounds.
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) scored eight points, secured seven rebounds and tallied a pair of blocks and a pair of steals.
Dan Wanker led the Lions with 13 points while Justin Gorny notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Tomcats (2-1) will open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on the road Wednesday, Nov. 29 when they take on the Thomas More Saints on the road. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
