LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated 2-1 Sunday on the road by the Saint Vincent Bearcats.
 
After a scoreless first half, Nicole Pereksta (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) gave the Tomcats the edge when she scored an unassisted goal at the 46:33 mark. It was Pereksta's team-leading third goal of the season.
 
Maggie Nelson tied up the contest in the in the 58^th minute and went on to score the game-winner in 77^th minute on a pass from Natalie Luppold.
 
Chimamaka Palmer (Northfield, Ohio/Mayfield) made 15 saves for the Tomcats. Corinne Burk denied two shots for the Bearcats.
 
The Tomcats will host the Westminster Titans Tuesday at Alumni Stadium. The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
