BETHANY, W.Va. – The Thiel Tomcats lost their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener Wednesday on the road to the Bethany Bison, 1-0.
 
Riley Meyers scored the only goal of the game 37:06 into the first half on a breakaway after receiving a pass from Michaela Hinerman.
 
Maddie Sollers (Mogadore, Ohio/Field), Marissa Ramirez (Amherst, Ohio/Amherst Steele) and Nicole Pereksta (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) each took a pair of shots for the Tomcats.
 
Chimamaka Palmer (Northfield, Ohio/Mayfield) made five saves for the Tomcats while Mari Concha Vazquez denied two shots for the Bison.
 
The Tomcats will return to action Sunday when they take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats on the road. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
