YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost an exhibition game to the Youngstown State Penguins Tuesday at the Beeghly Center, 106-74.
Proceeds from the exhibition game benefited hurricane relief efforts in Houston, Florida and Puerto Rico.
Mert Ozkaynak (Izmir, Turkey/T.C. Williams) led the Tomcats with a game-high 18 points.
Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) and Tyrese Robinson also chipped in with nine points apiece.
Naz Bohannon recorded a double-double for the Penguins with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Jaylen Benton also scored 13 points while Devin Haygood and Cameron Morse scored 10 points apiece.
