OBERLIN, Ohio – The Thiel College women's basketball team was defeated in non-conference action Monday on the road by the Oberlin College Yeowomen, 68-56.
 
Taylor Duchon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) led the Tomcats with 16 points while Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Alyssa Mondl (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) and Alivia Sidley (Thompson, Ohio/Ledgemont) also chipped in with nine and eight points, respectively.
 
Tyler Parlor led Oberlin with 12 points while Abby Andrews scored 11 points. Olivia Canning recorded 10 points while Jasmine Sorrells notched a game-best 11 rebounds.
 
The Tomcats will return to action Wednesday when they take on the Thomas More Saints on the road. The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
