GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team was upended 77-70 by Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival the Saint Vincent Bearcats Wednesday evening inside Beeghly Gymnasium.
Junior guard
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) tallied a game-high 22 points in the loss. Burton also added four assists and two steals. Fellow junior
Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) also notched double-digit points, recording 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field.
Junior forward
Clandell Cetoute (Wellington, Fla./Wellington) pulled down nine rebounds and secured eight points. Freshman guard
Terrance Holloway (Farrell, Pa./Farrell) put up nine points, seven rebounds and four assists off the bench.
Tom Kronka had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Bearcats.
The Tomcats (7-5, 3-4 PAC) will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Chatham Cougars in a PAC contest. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
