WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College baseball team dropped the series finale 5-1 to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) nine-inning game on Sunday.
 
Bryan Mitchell (Cleveland, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) scored the lone Thiel run in the top of the fourth inning. Mitchell tripled to right center field with one out then Nick Fowkes (New Eagle, Pa./Ringgold) drove him in with a RBI groundout a batter later.
 
Mitchell, Matt Elko (Middlefield, Ohio/Berkshire), Trent Smith (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) and Josh Doody (Grove City, Pa. /Grove City) each registered a hit for Thiel.
 
The Tomcats (23-10, 12-5 PAC) will be on the road on Wednesday, April 27 at 4:30 p.m. when they look to complete the season sweep over the Geneva Golden Tornadoes.
