GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team wrapped up their 2016 season falling in three sets (15-25, 22-25, 18-25) to the fifth-ranked Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raiders in a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) contest.
Nate Roche (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) paced the Tomcats with a team-high eight kills and added seven digs.
Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) and
Regan Hess (Burlington, Wis./Wetosha Central) each notched six kills while
Cody Patterson (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) recorded five kills.
Zach Rombach (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) dished out 23 assists and had eight digs for the Tomcats.
Corey Pieper led the Scarlet Raiders with 12 kills.
The Tomcats finish the season 3-16 and 1-11 in the CVC.
