PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Thiel College baseball fell to the La Roche Redhawks 18-6 in a non-conference game Thursday afternoon.
Three Tomcats registered multi-hit games.
Dan Koller (Euclid, Ohio/Lake Catholic) went 2-for-4 in the game with four runs batted in and a run scored.
Josh Doody (Grove City, Pa. /Grove City) and
Brian Genco (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) each collected a RBI.
Matt Elko (Middlefield, Ohio/Berkshire) had three hits in the game in five at bats.
Shiloh Turner (Cleveland, OH/Brush) and
Nick Fowkes (New Eagle, Pa./Ringgold) each scored two runs while Turner recorded two hits.
Jaden Nozicka (Portage, Mich./Portage Central) took the loss for the Tomcats pitching two innings while only allowing a hit and an unearned run.
The Tomcats (18-7) will resume conference action this weekend when they take on the Washington & Jefferson Presidents. The Tomcats will host the Presidents for a doubleheader at Tomcat Park on Saturday, April 16 starting at 1 p.m.
